Matthew 24:23-27, a short exposition.

Essentially, this post will try to give a modern interpretation of Jesus' warning. Which our bible accurately refers to as "false Christs". However to get at the meat and potatoes we have to logically disect the word Christ. What is it to be Christ?
Christ is the Greek for Messiah, which means anointed one. It essentially refers to Jesus as a man blessed by God (Jehovah). The title doesn't specifically deal with the nature of Jesus as the Son of God (Which obviously he is). But more of what Jesus as Messiah would do here on Earth.
The Jews/Hebrews believed that Jesus would DELIVER them from their enemies, save them from their earthly oppressors. That is part of the reason that people were unwilling to accept him as the Messiah and saw him more as a prophet (Matthew 16:14, 21:46) than the actual saviour of humanity.
So when we understand how they perceived him, as a man, and a prophet (akin to Elijah and Jeremiah) its easy to see how Messiah is an earthly title with earthly connotations. Whilst Jesus truly was the Son of God, up until his resurrection, his signs and wonders were the only thing convincing people of his true nature, his words were taken as those of a prophet, because his nature as Messiah could not be understood, as the eyes and ears of the multitudes could not see or hear the truth. It is only through knowing the nature of Christ, in truth without blinkers, that one can be saved, it is not through a quick prayer, but through God himself allowing us to know, and through God changing our nature [i am not preaching calvinism here, but the act of salvation through belief in God, from the changing of ones mind from worldly beliefs to true belief in Jesus as saviour, which God allows through the Holy Spirit]
So how does this correspond with Jesus warning?
Our bibles present his warning something like this:

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.25 Behold, I have told you before.26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
This is definitely the word of God. However we may struggle to get accurate context in our modern times, so I am going to exposit this myself to bring out what I believe to be a possible interpretation:

23 "If at that time any one should say to you, `See, here is the deliverer!"  or `there!' give no credence to it. 24 For there will rise up false deliverers and false divine-speakers, displaying powerful proofs of authority  and miracles, so as to deceive, were it possible, even God's own People. 25 Remember, I have forewarned you. 26 If therefore they should say to you, `Look in the Desert! (for salvation)'  do not go out there: or `Look inside (yourself)' do not believe it.
27 For when Christ returns EVERYONE SHALL SEE HIM

Make of it what you will, remember how this refers to the "end of the age", I am only looking at this interpretively not literally, but I believe that the modern messiahs in the New Age are those who say that salvation is within could be those Jesus described. How would the inner rooms be interpreted? That "Christ" would be in a someone's house, lets go to him? Who would believe that? Or that he is waiting for us in the desert? Or that by going into the desert we can attain salvation (Sedona..) and that if we look within we can attain Christ consciousness. Thats why it says
Desert = do not go there
Secret Chambers = do not believe them.
Would Jesus not say "do not go there" for both, unless one is physical and the other spiritual/mental.
This would indicate further the demonic aspects of the New Age, the signs and wonders..the miracles and proofs of authority as I interpreted it..actually mean these people prove their abilities, and claim divine (not from our God, but from higher beings) power and authority.
I hope this helps someone..or at least provide a base of research.

Edit: There is also the possibility that secret chambers refers to the secret societies of mystery babylon, as freemasons often refer to themselves as Christians when in fact they're luciferians - definitely something to look into in my opinion

I still listen to Alex Jones

Many moons back I told Alex Jones to eff off via my blog. I vowed never to listen to him again, ended my subscription to pp.tv and that was it, game over for him as far as I was concerned.
That was two years ago (wow, so long!) Yet I have been listening to him on and off now for a couple of months and am again funding him via pp.tv!
I realized this, just now reviewing my posts, basically I was asking myself if blogging truly was a good and fruitful use of my time, does anyone read my blog?! I know that its often a complete mess, a rant..but its hard to articulate my thoughts.
Anyway, why am I once again a listener, neigh..viewer of AJ?
I now honestly believe that Mr Jones believes what he says. Now, this doesn't make him the best man to be the "leader" of the "truth" movement, but it does mean that at least some of what he says, and some of the news he reads is valid. I kinda realized that once again my only source of news was from my fleeting glimpses of the 6'o clock news, and Christian radio, which tends to bottleneck what it reports in order to be "positive and encouraging".
So that's why I listen, I have no fear thanks to the Lord, therefore I dont lie awake at 6am worrying that I may get raided by the feds, nor do I fear what may happen on a global scale, whatever happens, I die..and when I wake up, this civilization is over anyway.
What truly matters is how we treat others, whether we reflect Christ, and have faith in what He did for us on the cross, and receive his promise of the resurrection. Most of the world is blind to the cross, and to the tomb. They think Christians are psychotic busybodies who want to spoil through fun..and I grant that some are.
However, many are more keyed in than through fun"new age truthers", and are willing to lay down their lives for the cause of freedom, and of course (always) to further the gospel.
Ah yes, the glorious gospel..what is it?
Don't worry, God's already sorted this mess out! Christ died, and rose again, and in that act of - what seems sheer madness - he destroyed death, restored life, and freed anyone who believes! In belief we obey God, and in obeying God we share freedom and love to others!
Love your neighbour as yourself
Do to others as you would have done to you.
If people just followed these two guidelines from the bible (with a healthy dose of loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength of course) There would be no NWO, there would be no paedo rings, no luciferianism.
I think Alex misses these messages, he certainly isn't perfect. But he certainly tries his best to wake people up, in the only way he knows how. He should drop Icke as a guest, he should also drop the act of being a serious news reporter, we don't need another journalist..the world needs another Bill Cooper..I would have no problem with Alex replacing Bill, I don't think Bill would either. It wasn't Alex that Bill had a problem with, it was his sensationalism and fearmongering.
I do think Bill died that Alex could rise, do I think Alex was in on it..no.
Is he project mockingbird? Is he an insider? Honestly, I have no idea, probably not, regardless of what people say, there is little evidence. Statistically he resembles a radio talk show host who has put alot of money and effort into becoming an internet tv news host. His money comes from us not them, there's nothing he owns in that studio that I couldn't set up for myself for much cheaper..if I had the time and inclination. Lets face it, he runs his computers on linux! Does NBC run on ubuntu linux? Unlikely.
Alex screams that he built himself up. Despite errors he has made, if I remember correctly, Bill never said he was CIA, or worked for any othrt agency, now considering that Bill went on his show..he would have checked him out..
(If Bill did say he was CIA please correct me)
Alex DID lie about Bill, a big black mark against him here..why did he lie? This is so easy to check out, I have the interview..At some point I will upload it to YouTube. Bill is his usual cogent self. So either Alex is mistaken, lying, or a 5th dimensional lizard who drinks blood? Perhaps!
Whatever the case is, If Alex went on air and recanted this statement, the 40 years of research that Bill did could be used and shared.
We need to get perspective and realise that verifiable information should be shared, Bill had a mountain of data that is being left to dust because of lack of funds, why hasnt one of these wealthy truth leaders taken it upon themselves to fund through remaining HOTT team? I find it amazing that not one of these people has just thought to take up his mantle. Why are we not helping on another? THIS ISN'T A COMPETITION TO SEE WHICH IS THE GREATEST MODERN PROPHET!
Okay, I'm ranting.
To put it succinct, I listen to Alex because:
1.There's no one like him or better than him anymore.
2. I can't help but find myself nodding in agreement with him.
3. No matter what he says I can't be scared.
4. He's live, goes over the news, and has some good guests on from time to time.
5. He is magnificently entertaining, although he shouts his head off, I usually laugh, he sadly will never match Cooper for depth of research, wit, and just sheer humanity. Although Cooper and I share different theological opinions (especially about Paul having never heard the gospel, and Satan not being a physical fallen angel but human evil given a name). He did amaze me about the resurrection, and I had to adapt my theology because of his research, just as I had to change my entire beliefs about the illuminati, symbolism under the wealth of information and knowledge that is VERIFIABLE, and still taught by underground Christian youtubers who get hated and persecuted every day.
6. Alex started me off on my "journey", unlike Bill Cooper, or Chris White..Alex woke me up. without him I would never have found them, although I believe I would always have found Jesus, I am so glad it was this way. I love Bill, I love Chris, his videos nudged at my heart and that was it, I was sitting on my sofa talking to Yeshua the Messiah. But Alex started this journey. Thanks to a David Icke documentary with him in it, i find infowars and I entered the realm of metaphysical, spiritual, financial, political and never looked back.
So thank you Alex, but remember sir,
"test everything, hold fast to that which is good." 1Thess 5:21

Was I wrong about The Message?

Well, I took the plunge and bought The Message. I have never liked it, the idea of one man making the bible in his own image (i.e. a paraphrase) seemed abhorrent to me. It just had to be corrupt and evil.
Now, this opinion was based upon the many reviews of it I had scoured. Many of these incidentally then advertised the KJV as the inerrant, infallible word of God.

But, of course, It was still inaccurate; as I showed before in my previous posts. Theres more words, stuff that isnt in the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts made it into The Message, therefore it MUST be corrupt.

But lo and behold, this IS a paraphrase, and a very good one. This is loyal to the manuscripts, but not only translates the words, but the meaning (as Peterson sees it of course) of those words. Obviously this is not THE BIBLE, this is a paraphrase of Mr Peterson's translation of the original languages. So don't expect John 3:16 to be word for word what is in a dynamic or formal translation. I actually dont agree with it 100% some of it IS hokey, I'm not going to say what. This is a paraphrase, not a translation, and if anyone is stupid enough to take any sort of doctrine from it without checking with a real translation then they deserve what they get.

Be careful, if anything makes you raise an eyebrow, check it against a formal translation such as the ESV, KJV, NKJV, then highlight that part of the message so you know to be wary of it. Its not been done maliciously by Peterson, he has his own theological biases (and most are insignificant, I'm sure) as much as we do.

The most unsettling part for me was the party wagon following the Message, alot from the emerging church (i.e. ecumenicalists [church unification], people who think contemplative prayer should be standard practice for christians, that all roads lead to God, that if God truly condemned gays that would make him evil. Those folks who use mass marketing techniques to indoctrinate fledgling christians into such "relevant" practices as transcendental meditation, maze walking and rosary beads).

It took me a good think before I worked this out; a guy makes a pretty good paraphrase

(it really is a good paraphrase, if i ever find out differently in my reading of it I will repent on this blog [i am also aware it says "as above, so below" in the Lord's prayer])
Anyway yeah; good paraphrase, now these young up and coming pastors latch onto it, as does a progressive publishing company. Now lets not forget that alot of the modern church thinks a 400 year old translation is God's final word in English! One side wont even look at the Message. Another welcomes it with open arms. This is what has happened, neither the Emerging church nor the Message are a product of one another, and if the reader is clever enough to not get doctrine from it without analysis and study (as should be the case anyway) they will likely find a pretty readable bible! Genesis is a sinch (thats where I am at now).

Test all things! Just remember to hold fast to the things that are good!
