Isaiah 62 - Rotherham's Emphasized Bible.

Just having a debate on the Icke forums, quite a good one, although Christian's are second class citizens there, there are some good people who will listen, and even present interesting points, slow to anger and are just plain nice. One thing that saddens me is how many concessions the long term Christians have made. I have been saved just over a year, and my theology has vastly altered in that short time. But I would never allow new age beliefs to creep in, it scares me that any Christians would give ear to the New Age. But it does indeed explain why some Christians are condemned for not loving the truth (the great apostasy). Anyway, I decided in the course of my debate to show God's power to predict the future, not only does it predict the rise of Christianity, but even that there will be a new name for it (from Hebrew to Christian).

See for yourself:

h1. Isaiah 62

*1* For Zion’s sake, will I not hold my peace, And, for Jerusalem’s sake, will I not rest,––Until her righteousness, go forth as brightness, And, her salvation, as a torch that is lighted.

*2* So shall nations see, thy righteousness, And all kings, thy glory; And thou shalt be called by a new name, which, the mouth of Yahweh, will name.

*3* Then shalt thou become––A crown of adorning, in the hand of Yahweh, and, A royal diadem, in the hand of thy God.

*4* Thou shalt be termed no longer–Forsaken, Nor shall, thy land, be termed any longer, A desolation, But, thou, shalt be called, Hephzibah[=" My delight is in her"], And, thy land, Beulah[=" married"], ––For Yahweh hath found delight, in thee, And, thy land, shall be married.

*5* For, a young man, marrieth, a virgin, Thy sons, marry thee! And, the bridegroom, rejoiceth, over, the bride––Thy God, rejoiceth over thee.

*6* Upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, have I appointed watchmen, All the day and all the night through, let them not hold their peace,––O ye that put Yahweh in mind, Do not take rest, to yourselves,

*7* Neither give rest, unto him, Until he establish, and until he set forth Jerusalem, as a praise in the earth!

*8* Sworn, hath Yahweh––By his own right hand, and, By his own strong, arm,––Surely I will give thy corn, no more, as food to thine enemies, Nor shall the sons of the foreigner drink, thy new wine, for which thou hast toiled;

*9* But, they who have garnered it, shall eat it, and praise Yahweh,––And, they who have gathered in its clusters, shall drink it, in my holy, courts.

*10* Pass ye through, pass ye through the gates, Prepare ye the way of the people,––Cast ye up, cast ye up the highway, Clear it of stones, Lift ye high a standard, unto the peoples.

*11* Lo! Yahweh, hath sent a message unto the end of the earth: Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Lo! thy Salvation, is coming,––Lo! his reward, is with him, And, his recompense, before him:

*12* So shall men call them––The holy, people, The redeemed of Yahweh,––And, thou, shalt be called––Sought out, A city, not forsaken.

Its a beautiful chapter, and as such a highly literal translation, its even more beautiful!

Matthew 24:23-27, a short exposition.

Essentially, this post will try to give a modern interpretation of Jesus' warning. Which our bible accurately refers to as "false Christs". However to get at the meat and potatoes we have to logically disect the word Christ. What is it to be Christ?

Christ is the Greek for Messiah, which means anointed one. It essentially refers to Jesus as a man blessed by God (Yahweh). The title doesn't specifically deal with the nature of Jesus as the son of God. But more of what Jesus as Messiah would do here on Earth.

The Jews/Hebrews believed that Jesus would DELIVER them from their enemies, save them from their earthly oppressors. That is part of the reason that people were unwilling to accept him as the Messiah and saw him more as a prophet (Matthew 16:14, 21:46) than the actual saviour of humanity.

So when we understand how they perceived him, as a man, and a prophet (akin to Elijah and Jeremiah) its easy to see how Messiah is an earthly title with earthly connotations. Whilst Jesus truly was the Son of God, up until his resurrection, his signs and wonders were the only thing convincing people of his true nature, his words were taken as those of a prophet, because his nature as Messiah could not be understood, as the eyes and ears of the multitudes could not see or hear the truth. It is only through knowing the nature of Christ, in truth without blinkers, that one can be saved, it is not through a quick prayer, but through God himself allowing us to know, and through God changing our nature [i am not preaching calvinism here, but the act of salvation through honest want of change from the person (repentance), and the person being responded to by God].

So how does this correspond with Jesus warning?

Our bibles present his warning something like this:

23 "If at that time any one should say to you, `See, here is the Christ!' or `Here!' give no credence to it. 24 For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets, displaying wonderful signs and prodigies, so as to deceive, were it possible, even God's own People. 25 Remember, I have forewarned you. 26 If therefore they should say to you, `See, He is in the Desert!' do not go out there: or `See, He is indoors in the room!' do not believe it.

As I said, this is definitely an accurate literal translation. However we may struggle to get accurate context in our modern times, so I am going to edit this myself to bring out an accurate context for our time:

23 "If at that time any one should say to you, `See, here is the deliverer!"  or `there!' give no credence to it. 24 For there will rise up false deliverers and false divine-speakers, displaying powerful proofs of authority  and miracles, so as to deceive, were it possible, even God's own People. 25 Remember, I have forewarned you. 26 If therefore they should say to you, `Look in the Desert! (for salvation)'  do not go out there: or `Look inside (yourself)' do not believe it.

Make of it what you will, remember how this refers to the "end of the age", I am only looking at this interpretively not literally, but I believe that the modern messiahs in the New Age are those who say that salvation is within could be those Jesus described. How would the inner rooms be interpreted? That "Christ" would be in a someone's house, lets go to him? Who would believe that? Or that he is waiting for us in the desert? Or that by going into the desert we can attain salvation (Sedona..) and that if we look within we can attain Christ consciousness. Thats why it says

Desert = do not go there
Inner rooms = do not believe them.
Would Jesus not say "do not go there" for both, unless one is physical and the other spiritual/mental.

This would indicate further the demonic aspects of the New Age, the signs and wonders..the miracles and proofs of authority as I interpreted it..actually mean these people prove their abilities, and claim divine (not from our God, but from higher beings) power and authority.

I hope this helps someone..or at least provide a base of research.

I still listen to Alex Jones

Many moons back I told Alex Jones to eff off via my blog. I vowed never to listen to him again, ended my subscription to pp.tv and that was it, game over for him as far as I was concerned.
That was two years ago (wow, so long!) Yet I have been listening to him on and off now for a couple of months and am again funding him via pp.tv!
I realized this, just now reviewing my posts, basically I was asking myself if blogging truly was a good and fruitful use of my time, does anyone read my blog?! I know that its often a complete mess, a rant..but its hard to articulate my thoughts.
Anyway, why am I once again a listener, neigh..viewer of AJ?
I now honestly believe that Mr Jones believes what he says. Now, this doesn't make him the best man to be the "leader" of the "truth" movement, but it does mean that at least some of what he says, and some of the news he reads is valid. I kinda realized that once again my only source of news was from my fleeting glimpses of the 6'o clock news, and Christian radio, which tends to bottleneck what it reports in order to be "positive and encouraging".
So that's why I listen, I have no fear thanks to the Lord, therefore I dont lie awake at 6am worrying that I may get raided by the feds, nor do I fear what may happen on a global scale, whatever happens, I die..and when I wake up, this civilization is over anyway.
What truly matters is how we treat others, whether we reflect Christ, and have faith in what He did for us on the cross, and receive his promise of the resurrection. Most of the world is blind to the cross, and to the tomb. They think Christians are psychotic busybodies who want to spoil through fun..and I grant that some are.
However, many are more keyed in than through fun"new age truthers", and are willing to lay down their lives for the cause of freedom, and of course (always) to further the gospel.
Ah yes, the glorious gospel..what is it?
Don't worry, God's already sorted this mess out! Christ died, and rose again, and in that act of - what seems sheer madness - he destroyed death, restored life, and freed anyone who believes! In belief we obey God, and in obeying God we share freedom and love to others!
Love your neighbour as yourself
Do to others as you would have done to you.
If people just followed these two guidelines from the bible (with a healthy dose of loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength of course) There would be no NWO, there would be no paedo rings, no luciferianism.
I think Alex misses these messages, he certainly isn't perfect. But he certainly tries his best to wake people up, in the only way he knows how. He should drop Icke as a guest, he should also drop the act of being a serious news reporter, we don't need another journalist..the world needs another Bill Cooper..I would have no problem with Alex replacing Bill, I don't think Bill would either. It wasn't Alex that Bill had a problem with, it was his sensationalism and fearmongering.
I do think Bill died that Alex could rise, do I think Alex was in on it..no.
Is he project mockingbird? Is he an insider? Honestly, I have no idea, probably not, regardless of what people say, there is little evidence. Statistically he resembles a radio talk show host who has put alot of money and effort into becoming an internet tv news host. His money comes from us not them, there's nothing he owns in that studio that I couldn't set up for myself for much cheaper..if I had the time and inclination. Lets face it, he runs his computers on linux! Does NBC run on ubuntu linux? Unlikely.
Alex screams that he built himself up. Despite errors he has made, if I remember correctly, Bill never said he was CIA, or worked for any othrt agency, now considering that Bill went on his show..he would have checked him out..
(If Bill did say he was CIA please correct me)
Alex DID lie about Bill, a big black mark against him here..why did he lie? This is so easy to check out, I have the interview..At some point I will upload it to YouTube. Bill is his usual cogent self. So either Alex is mistaken, lying, or a 5th dimensional lizard who drinks blood? Perhaps!
Whatever the case is, If Alex went on air and recanted this statement, the 40 years of research that Bill did could be used and shared.
We need to get perspective and realise that verifiable information should be shared, Bill had a mountain of data that is being left to dust because of lack of funds, why hasnt one of these wealthy truth leaders taken it upon themselves to fund through remaining HOTT team? I find it amazing that not one of these people has just thought to take up his mantle. Why are we not helping on another? THIS ISN'T A COMPETITION TO SEE WHICH IS THE GREATEST MODERN PROPHET!
Okay, I'm ranting.
To put it succinct, I listen to Alex because:
1.There's no one like him or better than him anymore.
2. I can't help but find myself nodding in agreement with him.
3. No matter what he says I can't be scared.
4. He's live, goes over the news, and has some good guests on from time to time.
5. He is magnificently entertaining, although he shouts his head off, I usually laugh, he sadly will never match Cooper for depth of research, wit, and just sheer humanity. Although Cooper and I share different theological opinions (especially about Paul having never heard the gospel, and Satan not being a physical fallen angel but human evil given a name). He did amaze me about the resurrection, and I had to adapt my theology because of his research, just as I had to change my entire beliefs about the illuminati, symbolism under the wealth of information and knowledge that is VERIFIABLE, and still taught by underground Christian youtubers who get hated and persecuted every day.
6. Alex started me off on my "journey", unlike Bill Cooper, or Chris White..Alex woke me up. without him I would never have found them, although I believe I would always have found Jesus, I am so glad it was this way. I love Bill, I love Chris, his videos nudged at my heart and that was it, I was sitting on my sofa talking to Yeshua the Messiah. But Alex started this journey. Thanks to a David Icke documentary with him in it, i find infowars and I entered the realm of metaphysical, spiritual, financial, political and never looked back.
So thank you Alex, but remember sir,
"test everything, hold fast to that which is good." 1Thess 5:21

Was I wrong about The Message?

Well, I took the plunge and bought The Message. I have never liked it, the idea of one man making the bible in his own image (i.e. a paraphrase) seemed abhorrent to me. It just had to be corrupt and evil.
Now, this opinion was based upon the many reviews of it I had scoured. Many of these incidentally then advertised the KJV as the inerrant, infallible word of God.

But, of course, It was still inaccurate; as I showed before in my previous posts. Theres more words, stuff that isnt in the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts made it into The Message, therefore it MUST be corrupt.

But lo and behold, this IS a paraphrase, and a very good one. This is loyal to the manuscripts, but not only translates the words, but the meaning (as Peterson sees it of course) of those words. Obviously this is not THE BIBLE, this is a paraphrase of Mr Peterson's translation of the original languages. So don't expect John 3:16 to be word for word what is in a dynamic or formal translation. I actually dont agree with it 100% some of it IS hokey, I'm not going to say what. This is a paraphrase, not a translation, and if anyone is stupid enough to take any sort of doctrine from it without checking with a real translation then they deserve what they get.

Be careful, if anything makes you raise an eyebrow, check it against a formal translation such as the ESV, KJV, NKJV, then highlight that part of the message so you know to be wary of it. Its not been done maliciously by Peterson, he has his own theological biases (and most are insignificant, I'm sure) as much as we do.

The most unsettling part for me was the party wagon following the Message, alot from the emerging church (i.e. ecumenicalists [church unification], people who think contemplative prayer should be standard practice for christians, that all roads lead to God, that if God truly condemned gays that would make him evil. Those folks who use mass marketing techniques to indoctrinate fledgling christians into such "relevant" practices as transcendental meditation, maze walking and rosary beads).

It took me a good think before I worked this out; a guy makes a pretty good paraphrase

(it really is a good paraphrase, if i ever find out differently in my reading of it I will repent on this blog [i am also aware it says "as above, so below" in the Lord's prayer])
Anyway yeah; good paraphrase, now these young up and coming pastors latch onto it, as does a progressive publishing company. Now lets not forget that alot of the modern church thinks a 400 year old translation is God's final word in English! One side wont even look at the Message. Another welcomes it with open arms. This is what has happened, neither the Emerging church nor the Message are a product of one another, and if the reader is clever enough to not get doctrine from it without analysis and study (as should be the case anyway) they will likely find a pretty readable bible! Genesis is a sinch (thats where I am at now).

Test all things! Just remember to hold fast to the things that are good!

My attempt at updating the 1382 Wycliffe Bible: Gospel of John, Chapter 1

Gospel of John.

1:1 In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and God was the word.
2 This was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him, and without him was made no thing, that thing that was made.
4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men; and the light shines in darkness,
5 and darkness comprehended it not.
6 A man was sent from God, whose name was John.
7 This man came witnessing, that he should bear witness of the light.
8 He was not the light, but he bore witness of the light.
9 There was a true light, which lights each man that comes into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came to his own, and they received him not.
12 But how ever many received him, he gave to them power to be made sons of God, to him that believed in his name.
13 who were not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, neither of the will of man, but being born of God.
14. And the word was made man, and dwelled among us, and we had seen the glory of him, as the glory of the only begotten son of the Father, full of grace and of truth.
15 John bore witness of him, and cried, and said, 'This is, whom I said, He that shall come after me, is made before me, for he was before me".
16 And the plenty of him we all have taken, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses; but grace and truth is made by Jesus Christ.
18 No man ever saw God, none but the only begotten son, that is in the bosom of the Father, he has told us.
19 And this is the witness of John, when Jews sent from Jerusalem priests and levites to him, that they should ask him, "Who are you?".
20 He confessed, and denied not, and he confessed, "I am not Christ".
21 And they asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" And he said, "I am not. "Are you a prophet?" And he answered, "No".
22 Therefore they said to him, "Who are you? That we may give an answer to those that sent us. What do you say of yourself?".
23 He said, "I am a voice of a crier in the desert, Make straight the way of the Lord". as Isaiah the prophet, said.
24 And they who were sent, were of the Pharisees.
25 And they asked him, and said to him, "Why then do you baptise, if you are not Christ, nor Elijah, nor a Prophet?".
26 John answered them and said, "I baptise in water, but in the midst of you stands one, that you know not;
27 he it is, that shall come after me, that was made before me, of whom I am not worthy to loose the strap of his shoe".
28 These things were done in Bethany beyond Jordan, where John was baptising.
29 Another day John saw Jesus coming to him and he said, " See! the Lamb of God; See! he that does away with the sins of the world.
30 This is he, that I said of, after me is come a man, which was made before me, for he was rather than I.
31 And I knew him not, but that he should be shown in Israel, therefore I came baptising in water".
32 And John bore witness and said, "I saw the Spirit coming down as a dove from heaven, and dwelled on him,
33 And I knew him not, but he who  sent me to baptise in water told me, 'On whom you see the Spirit coming down, and dwell on him, this is he who baptises in the Holy Spirit'.
34 And I say, and bear witness, that this is the Son of God".
35 Another day John stood with two of his disciples;
36 and he saw Jesus walking, and said, "See! The Lamb of God".
37 And the two disciples heard him speaking, and followed Jesus.
38 And Jesus turned, and seeing them follow him, said to them "What do you seek" and they said to him, "Rabbi (that is to say: Master) where do you dwell?".
39 And he said to them, "Come and see". And they came, and saw where he was staying, they also stayed with him that day, it was the tenth hour.
40 Andrew, the brother of Simon-Peter, was one of the two that had heard John, and followed him.
41 He found first his brother Simon, and he said to him, "We have found the Messiah (i.e Christ)", and he led him to Jesus
42 Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon, the son of Jonah, you shall be called Cephas, (or Peter)".
43 The next day he would go out to Galilee, where he found Philip, and he said to him "Follow me".
44 Philip was from Beth-Saida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, "We have found Jesus, the son of Joseph, of Nazareth, who Moses wrote of in the law and prophets".
46 And Nathanael said to him, "May something good have come of Nazareth?".
47 Philip said to him, "Come, and see". Jesus saw Nathanael coming and said to him "See! truly a man of Israel, in whom there is no guile".
48 Nathanael said to him, "How do you know me?". Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you".
49 Nathanael replied "Rabbi, you are the Son of God, you are King of Israel!".
50 Jesus answered and said to him "For I said to you, I saw you under the fig tree, you believe; you shall see more than these things".
51 And he said to him "Truly, truly, I say to you, you shall see heaven opened, and the angels of God going up and coming down on the son of man.

Gay marriage: Hate crime against christians.

In the UK we now have another debate about gay marriage. Obviously, we have some strawman cardinal preaching against gays using the bible...emphatically saying that God is against homosexuality, therefore the churches should not be forced to marry gays.

Now, I completely agree, but somehow...this could be classed as hate speech? Now either way I dont really care..whether gays get married inside a church building, registry office, stately home. I dont care. What I do care about is the creeping hatred and disregard for Christians and the faith that we hold so dear, so much so that we are expected to bless a sinner FOR the sin that he is committing.

I think this moreso is a step toward the universal church, it just seems like a continued lukewarming of the faith, with state licensed church being forced by government to do something that the scriptures say is abominable.

So lets see, a people who NEVER go to church, have no respect or belief in God, wish to pervert and emulate the institutions that God put in place 6000 years ago? Oh right, and our totalitarian socialist government wants the churches to bless it and call it marriage?

Oh!

I would suggest that christians stop attending these churches, I think it would be far more profitable to begin house churches with small numbers, sing, pray, worship and forget these dead, dying institution that eats up all our cash. Realize that we are getting to the point where soon the beast will rise, and we dont need a marriage license..we need God.

The great apostasy.

As mankind steps ever closer to the brink, I think it's becoming ever more relevant for us to assess our doctrine, and be certain of what we believe. Imagine facing God, and he asks you why you believed something not only preposterous, but also offensive to him. What can you say? Sorry? Oops. Now whilst I am certain that an off belief here or there such as that the earth is 10,000 years old when it may be slightly older or slightly younger (really who knows?). There are some things intrinsic to our faith that if wrong could seriously jeopardise our entire faith:

1. Old earth creationism, the belief that the earth is billions of years old. Placing death before Eden, and before Adam. Messes it up from the start and makes Jesus a liar.

2. Eternal torment,  bad translation, hellenistic philosophy. catholic social control and fire and brimstone preaching, turn the gospel around, make God appear unjust, and make Christians into sycophants. And please! Preachers stop saying Jesus talked more about hell than anyone else you liars! GEHENNA is not Hell.

3. Pre-trib rapture, let's all run away before it gets hard. This deserves a post of it's own. But I would simply suggest you read revelation 6 AND 7 if you want to see what happens to us in the tribulation. We do not escape.

4. Many people believe that when we die, we leave our bodies and go to heaven or hell. This is a minor point. But it places the incorruptible inside the corruptible. The only spirit we have is given to us by God. It is life itself. When God takes it away, we die. Literal death. It is not conscious or aware, and cannot be communicated with. However this belief opens the door for new age doctrine, and should be addressed before the emerging one world church can exploit it like the spiritualists do.

5. Finally, the belief that modern versions of the Bible are evil. This is a truly dangerous belief. As close as we are to the tribulation, this needs to be kicked to the curb. Bibles are going to be in short supply  and we will need them, if only for small comfort from the word. Imagine being a king James onlyist and finding an NLT, or a Good News Bible. There's a good chance they will see it as the enemy and ignore it. The problem is that at a time when a man needs spiritual good he will discard it. More than ever we need leaders, who are communing with God and not with mans doctrines, unsupported by the original manuscripts. On this count I thank God for the World English Bible.

This is just a small selection of un scriptural doctrine pervading the church today, there are many more, but this post would be far too long. Thank you for reading and I hope this post makes you research what I have said.
